Privacy notice
Version 2026-10-21. SWS Edit is run by Sandhu Web Studio, India.
What we keep about you
- Your name and email address, and your phone number if your site's owner or Sandhu Web Studio gave it to us.
- The identifier Google gives us for your Google account when you sign in. We never see your Google password.
- A record of what you do in SWS Edit: the changes you save, approve, reject or publish, and when.
- A sign-in cookie on your device and, on our side, the time you last used it and the name of your browser.
We do not keep your IP address. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not track which emails you open.
Why we keep it
To let you sign in, to show your site's owner and Sandhu Web Studio who changed what, to undo a change, and to keep the service secure. We ask for your consent to this when you first sign in.
Who can see it
The owners of the website you work on, and Sandhu Web Studio. Nobody from another business's website can see it. We do not sell or share it. These companies handle it for us:
- Google, for the sign-in.
- Our email company (Resend), which delivers the emails SWS Edit sends: your name and email address, and the text of the email.
- GitHub, where your website's content is stored. Each change you publish is saved there with a short code for you (such as #1a2b3c4d), not your name or email address.
- The hosting company we rent our servers from, and the storage company that keeps our encrypted backups.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When your data is deleted, your name, email address, phone number and sign-in details are erased. The record of changes stays, shown as made by "Deleted user", so the website's history still works. Copies in our encrypted backups are deleted when those backups expire, within 30 days.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, and complain to us. If we do not resolve your complaint you can go to the Data Protection Board of India. To do any of this, contact Sandhu Web Studio using the details on sandhuwebstudio.com, or ask your site's owner to pass on your request.
Changes
If this notice changes, we show it to you again and ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
